Back Porch Orchestra started out as three friends playing acoustic gigs in the Triad.  Jeremy Brady, Chris Reed, and Bonnie Reed played together in the band "Beneath the Wheel." After the break-up of  that band the three began playing acoustic gigs and writing songs that reflected their love of  "Americana" music.
Coming from a musical family, Jeremy Brady was brought up on bluegrass and country music. Jeremy also dug deep into classic rock as a teenager listening and learning from the greats such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix and the Eagles.  Jeremy's talent led him into a stint playing with the band Daughtry. After coming off the road he decided that his heart was more into writing and recording his own music.
Chris Reed grew up on a steady diet of country, blues, rock, and jazz music. He's played in country, blues, and rock bands since the age of 18. The guitar is his first instrument but he is also proficient on the dobro and mandolin.  He is at home playing at a bluegrass parking lot jam or a gospel studio recording session.
From the first time as a 10 year old girl sang in her mother's church Bonnie Reed has been flooring audiences.  With a voice uniquely her own,  Bonnie has commanded attention any where she has stepped on a stage.  Most people feel like they are listening to a voice that evokes a sound and timbre only heard on the most revered songs in history.  Everyone knows Patsy Cline, Stevie Nicks, or Tina Turner's voice when they hear it.  When you hear Bonnie's voice it's one you will never forget, a voice rooted in the great's of yesterday.
After playing the first half of 2008 as a trio Frankie Hoggard and Scott Reed joined the band.  Frankie Hoggard a founding member of the group Sok Monkee became the bands permit drummer.  Scott Reed  spent several years as a studio bassist in Nashville.
From day one Back Porch Orchestra has played their favorite cover songs mixed with original's.  They have been featured on two occasions on FMY News 2 Greensboro and July 4th Celebration's downtown.  The band play's wedding, corporate, and clubs dates yearly.
